Staying at UDRU’s Dorm harmoniously!
Do’s
- Return to the dorm not late than: 10 pm from Sunday – Thursday and 11 pm on Friday and Saturday.
- Take your shoes off when walking up and down the building, in the corridor or other shared space. If not practicing this custom, the shoes will be confiscated.
- Always keep your room clean and comply with COVID-19 monitoring regulations.

Don’ts
- Female guests/friends are not allowed in the male dormitory and vice versa in the female dormitory.
- Throwing away or leaving dust or debris in the corridor or shared space and flushing food waste in the toilet and the sink result in punishment.
- All kinds of gambling games are not allowed and will be reported to the police if nay violating.
- Do not make noises or play loud music that will disturb others.
- Do not move objects or furniture out of the dormitory room.
- Drinking alcohol or using drugs is prohibited; violating this rule will be reported to the police.
- Do not change your room without allowance.
- Do not use the plug at the desk (very dangerous).
About Visa
Process for Visa for all UDRU Student
- Student contacts Office of International Affairs (OIA) at least a month before the expired date and get a visa application form from OIA. Student must complete that form and return to OIA together with a copy of all pages of passport and all required documents.
- OIA will make a letter and issue a visa extension cover letter signed by the President or Vice President of UDRU. OIA will make appointment with students to pick up the letter after 1-3 days.
- After getting cover letter, student shall go to the Immigration and apply for visa application.
Visa extension for student (Non-ED) Documents required
- Acknowledgement of the Conditions for Permitted Continuation of Stay in the Kingdom of Thailand (Student need to get this letter from OIA before contact immigration)
- Copy of passport (every page relevant to Thailand
- Immigration form No. 7 (visa extension form) with one photo 4 cm. X 6 cm. size
- Copy of Student card
- Program registration
- Fee: 1,900 THB/year
- Fined: For students who fail to extend visa 500 THB/day
Remark
- Student can Extend Visa Maximum 1 year
- Student will get 90 days report appointment after first Visa extension.
- When student get new visa and need to leave Thailand, on the way back They will get a stamp "Non- Re" instead of"Non-Ed"
Notification of staying in Thailand over 90 days
- An alien who has stayed in Thailand over 90 days must notify your residence to the Immigration Office every 90 days. You can the notification in person at Immigration Office and submit the Notification Form T.M. 47 (No Fee).
The Fine
- The notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days is in no way equivalent to a visa extension.
- If a foreigner staying in the kingdom over 90 days without notifying the Immigration Bureau or notifying the Immigration Bureau later than the set period, a fine of 2,000.- Baht will be collected. If a foreigner who did not make the notification of staying over 90 days is arrested, he will be fined 4,000.- Baht.
- If a foreigner leaves the country and re-enters, the day count starts at 1 in every case.
Re-entry Visa
- In case of an alien has to travel outside of Thailand for a short period, you need to proceed a re-entry permit before traveling. For the Re-entry Visa, you will need to submit the following:
- Passport
- Application Form T.M. 8
- 2 inches photo
- Re-entry permit fee (1,000 Baht for single or 3,800 Baht for multiple)
- Notice: Re-entry permits must be applied for in person
Changing Visa from Tourist Visa to Non - Immigrant "ED"
- The application must be submitted at least 15 days before visa expiration and, in case of overstaying in Thailand, application could not be submitted.
- Form TM. 86 for the foreigner, who has Tourist and Transit Visa and applies for Non
- Immigrant "ED"
- A Copy of passport pages (for example, personal information page, last entries
- stamp, visa sticker and extension stamp (if any) and departure card (Form TM. 6)
- 2-inch size photograph
- Application fee of Baht 2,000.
- A cooperation letter from the university or copy of academic record of applicant with the latest tuition fee receipt.
- This is a 60-day Tourist Visa to Thailand that can either be a multiple or single entry and can be extended for up to another 30 days by means of a visa run. Well if you want to extend longer than 30 days, you can convert the visa to a Non-Immigrant Visa which will require you to go to the nearby city or country such us Penang and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Notice:
- Thai visa extension for foreign students should be prepared a month before the visa’s expiration date. Student must submit all supporting documents and passports to the International Affairs Office
- In the situation where your faculty has exchange students, volunteers and/ or foreign Researchers, a NON-Immigrant Visa "Category ED" is required. Do not confuse this visa with the NON-Immigrant Visa "Category B" because a NON-Immigrant Visa "B" is needed for business transactions and/or work permits.
- Visa on Arrival for entering the Kingdom of Thailand
- The passport holder whose passport is stamped at every border checkpoint is able to stay in the Kingdom of Thailand for 15 days
- The passport holder whose passport is stamped at Suvarnabhumi Airport checkpoint is able to stay in the Kingdom of Thailand for 30 days (Notes: It also depends on the Visa agreement of each country)
- Foreign student must report themselves at the Immigration Bureau every 3 months (90 days), if he or she fails to do so, he or she will be fined for 2,000 Baht. A letter can be sent instead of going in person but must be received prior to the end of the 90-day term.
- Foreign student who need to travel outside the Kingdom of Thailand must receive A re-entry permit before traveling at the Immigration Bureau. If the student fails to do s her latest Visa will be invalid. There are 2 types of Re-entry permit;
- Re-entry permit for single trip costs 1,000 Baht.
- Re-entry permit for multiple trips costs 3,800 Baht.
